We're looking for an experienced RPA / Automation Engineer to build and maintain robust workflow and browser automations inside a fast-moving, startup-style environment. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who is pragmatic, highly technical, and comfortable working across messy real-world systems to automate repetitive operational work at production quality.You will design and build end-to-end automations using Python, TypeScript, and Playwright, and you will use Claude Code as a core part of your development workflow. This is not a script-and-forget role. You will build systems that are reliable, maintainable, and engineered to survive changing third-party UIs, flaky conditions, and real operational requirements.If you move fast, build with discipline, and know the difference between a one-off script and a production-ready automation, this role is built for you.Why You'll Want to Join

What You'll Work OnBrowser Automation and Workflow Development

Design, build, and maintain end-to-end automations across web applications and internal workflows
Develop reliable browser automations using Playwright including login flows, session management, dynamic page interactions, file downloads and uploads, form submissions, and data extraction
Build supporting services and scripts in Python and TypeScript
Adapt automations as third-party UIs and processes change over time without losing reliability

Resilience and Production Engineering

Build automation systems with strong error handling, retries, monitoring, and recovery paths
Debug failing automations and improve reliability across production workflows
Ensure automations are maintainable and documented well enough for others to understand and extend
Know when pure RPA is the right approach and when API-driven or hybrid solutions are more appropriate

AI-Assisted Development

Use Claude Code as a primary development tool for writing, refactoring, and debugging automation systems
Leverage AI tools to accelerate prototyping, iteration, and documentation
Stay current on AI-assisted development patterns and apply them to improve team velocity

Stakeholder Collaboration and Scoping

Partner with product and business stakeholders to identify high-value automation opportunities
Translate ambiguous business processes into stable, production-ready automation solutions
Communicate technical tradeoffs and timelines clearly to non-technical partners

What You Bring

Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript or JavaScript
Deep hands-on expertise with Playwright in production environments
Proven experience building RPA, browser automation, or web workflow automation at production scale, not just locally
Strong understanding of web application behavior including DOM interaction, APIs, auth flows, cookies, sessions, and asynchronous page behavior
Experience building robust, maintainable systems rather than one-off scripts
Comfort debugging flaky automations and improving reliability over time
Familiarity with Claude Code or comparable AI-assisted development tools as a natural part of your workflow
Experience with version control, testing, and general software engineering best practices
Comfortable working in a startup-style environment with changing requirements and shifting priorities

Nice to Have

Experience with Puppeteer, Selenium, or other automation frameworks
Background in scraping, document extraction, or workflow orchestration
Experience deploying and maintaining automations in cloud environments
Familiarity with queues, job runners, headless browser infrastructure, and observability or logging tooling
