- Direct ownership over automation systems that drive real operational efficiency
- Work closely with product and business stakeholders to identify and ship high-value automations
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end automations across web applications and internal workflows
- Develop reliable browser automations using Playwright including login flows, session management, dynamic page interactions, file downloads and uploads, form submissions, and data extraction
- Build supporting services and scripts in Python and TypeScript
- Adapt automations as third-party UIs and processes change over time without losing reliability
- Build automation systems with strong error handling, retries, monitoring, and recovery paths
- Debug failing automations and improve reliability across production workflows
- Ensure automations are maintainable and documented well enough for others to understand and extend
- Know when pure RPA is the right approach and when API-driven or hybrid solutions are more appropriate
- Use Claude Code as a primary development tool for writing, refactoring, and debugging automation systems
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate prototyping, iteration, and documentation
- Stay current on AI-assisted development patterns and apply them to improve team velocity
- Partner with product and business stakeholders to identify high-value automation opportunities
- Translate ambiguous business processes into stable, production-ready automation solutions
- Communicate technical tradeoffs and timelines clearly to non-technical partners
- Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript or JavaScript
- Deep hands-on expertise with Playwright in production environments
- Proven experience building RPA, browser automation, or web workflow automation at production scale, not just locally
- Strong understanding of web application behavior including DOM interaction, APIs, auth flows, cookies, sessions, and asynchronous page behavior
- Experience building robust, maintainable systems rather than one-off scripts
- Comfort debugging flaky automations and improving reliability over time
- Familiarity with Claude Code or comparable AI-assisted development tools as a natural part of your workflow
- Experience with version control, testing, and general software engineering best practices
- Comfortable working in a startup-style environment with changing requirements and shifting priorities
- Experience with Puppeteer, Selenium, or other automation frameworks
- Background in scraping, document extraction, or workflow orchestration
- Experience deploying and maintaining automations in cloud environments
- Familiarity with queues, job runners, headless browser infrastructure, and observability or logging tooling
- A portfolio link or examples of production automations you have built, ideally showing browser automation, error handling, or workflow systems
- A short Loom video (1 to 2 minutes) walking through a specific automation you built for production, what made it reliable, and how you approached debugging or improving it over time
- Video Introduction - Record an video introduction to showcase your communication skills and work experience
