- Own and execute the automation strategy for assigned teams or initiatives
- Identify high-impact opportunities for test automation
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts (functional, regression, API, integration, E2E)
- Collaborate with developers to implement shift-left testing practices
- Perform API, backend, and database testing
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and support release quality gates
- Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and validate fixes
- Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve testing efficiency and insights
- Maintain reusable and scalable test assets and documentation
- Experience in test automation for web, APIs, and backend systems
- Proficiency in tools/languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, Postman
- Strong experience with API testing, SQL, and database validation
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Understanding of shift-left testing and quality engineering best practices
- Exposure to cloud platforms and containerized environments (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience or interest in AI-assisted testing tools (preferred)
- Strong communication skills in English
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
