Proficiency in authoring tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Articulate, and Creative Cloud is essential, along with skills in graphic design and digital audio production.**Compensation:**Employment Type: Full-timeLocation: Remote**Job Overview:**The Instructional Designer for Digital Learning will create content across various learning formats, including instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (VILT), and eLearning, with a particular emphasis on eLearning, microlearning, and validating learning outcomes. Responsibilities include developing storyboards for content that will be passed on to Digital Developers for implementation. This role also involves supporting the Learning Management System for internal training and client needs. An ideal candidate will possess a passion for storytelling and crafting engaging user experiences.**Responsibilities and Duties:**- Design and produce materials, programs, curricula, and course content for online training, accommodating both classroom and self-directed learning.- Utilize authoring tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, and video editing software to create engaging content for instructor-led training and microlearning modules. Familiarity with Cognota is advantageous.- Generate engaging content for virtual and in-person classroom environments based on provided materials, concepts, and feedback from stakeholders.- Create diverse learning materials (courses, games, videos, quizzes) that cater to varying learning styles and expertise levels.- Apply adult learning models, including Agile, ADDIE, and the Dick & Carey Models, to direct the content development process.- Ensure timely delivery of materials within budget and in accordance with the training roadmap.- Adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to assess training needs and produce high-quality materials.- Develop templates and master files for training resources.- Create instructor manuals, rubrics, and other support tools for facilitators.- Understand branding and the technical specifications needed for digital outputs.- Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.**Required Knowledge and Skills:**- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and facilitate discussions to clarify learning needs.- Strong consulting, communication, and engagement skills when working with subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop training materials that address performance or skills gaps.- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Proven ability to oversee the entire training cycle, including needs assessment, planning, development, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation.- Skilled in technical writing and documentation.- Excellent organizational abilities.- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills.- Familiarity with online, instructor-led, and e-learning software applications.- Understanding of adult learning theories and best practices in facilitation, training, and blended learning solutions.
