- Oversee the month end process of all entities operating within the Asia region, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
- Review of monthly results and posting of adjustment journal entries as required during the month end process.
- Manage the of balance sheet reconciliation process and maintain working papers to substantiate required entries.
- Review of the required government statutory reports.
- Support balance sheet analytical review process and able to explain key movements linked to business or operational drivers
- Support the Enterprise statutory reporting process, ensuring timely preparation of deliverables to support the group audit relating to Asia.
- Manage delivery of local audit and statutory reporting for all Asian entities.
- In charge of the preparation of local statutory financial statements under Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and other applicable country's accounting standard that fully comply with accounting and legislative requirements.
- Build proficiency in use of CDM (account production tool) to become a key user to prepare financial statements.
- Evaluate and develop recommendations on complex and non-standard accounting matters, considering all relevant technical, operational and commercial factors.
- Support the development of APAC finance function through coaching and collaborating with Finance team members across GHD.
- Liaise with regional tax team to ensure compliance with all appropriate tax regulations and provide required support during tax audits or investigations.
- Collaborate with GBS and Tax to ensure appropriate enforcement of all policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Professional accounting qualifications equivalent to CPA or Chartered Accountant.
- Minimum 10+ years in similar Finance roles, either with experience in a complex matrix or multinational organization or audit firm with international client base.
- Strong statutory accounting knowledge with financial statement preparation experience
- Demonstrated technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail.
- Established communication, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Well organized, with an ability to plan and prioritize.
- Advanced skills in Excel, Word and Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience using a large-scale ERP (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) and BI reporting tools.
