Full-Stack Developer We are looking for a driven, results-oriented Full-Stack Developer to help Propel Manila create web-based solutions for our Data and Analytics practice. The goal of the Full-Stack Developer is to optimize the Agency's data pipelines and processes by delivering data-driven insights to internal and external audiences via websites, online dashboards, online reports, and other relevant web-based solutions - consistent with DataOps best practices. This is part of a larger organizational goal to improve efficiencies; ensure the creation of organizational knowledge; and provide continuous value to internal and external stakeholders. Our Data & Analytics practice is growing, and we would love to discuss opportunities to collaborate if you recognize in yourself the following qualities: Senior-level decision-making and ability to provide sound advice to management: until there is a need to expand, you will be our sole lead for transforming analysis by our data team into web-based dashboards, reports, and microsites for clients and other external audiences Front-end technology: Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React Js, Angular, jQuery and LESS Development languages: Knowledge of programming languages used for Data Science including Python, as well as relevant server-side programming languages include Net, Ruby, and Java Database and cache: Familiarity with DBMS technology, including SQLServer, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL and caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcached and Varnish Basic design ability: Including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design Ability to visualize a proposed system and be able to build it Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment where your primary collaborators will be communications professionals and not engineers Other important skills and qualities: Good working knowledge of data analysis and business intelligence products and how they rely on data feeds for their implementation Broad knowledge of data science products and current developments in the field Strong programming skills, especially in Python, for the creation of automation and other process improvements to help the Data & Analytics team deliver our reports and growing suite of productized services Broad knowledge of DataOps principles and the importance of speed, accuracy, and rapid validated learning cycles to optimize long-term performance A team player who takes ownership, builds cross-functional relationships with senior peers and loves sharing knowledge with more junior team members A curious world class problem solver who wants to keep learning! Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role; Agile product development and experience working in cross-functional teams would be a plus Excellent communication skills with both technical and business audiences, including senior stakeholders Knowledge in natural language processing; network analysis; and/or graph theory and the possible applications of these technologies to strategic communications would be a big advantage! What you'll be doing day to day You'll help support, promote, and advocate for Propel's continuous evolution as a data-driven company by ensuring that the appropriate data and insights are frequently, widely, and efficiently used by our different teams in delivering our core product of digital creativity to clients and partners. Our growing team of Data Analysts and company leadership will work with you to optimize day-to-day report-making, research, and insighting; build systems and tools for gradually scaling our data practice; and plan new data products and services that would offer strong value to internal and external stakeholders.
