Job PurposePerform actuarial reporting and strategic functions while working closely with other functional units to help management ensure the company’s financial well-being and provide support in the achievement of business targets.Critical AccountabilitiesKey Result AreasMajor ActivitiesOutputChallenges and RisksIFRS17 Valuation
  • Prepares the relevant monthly valuation reports under the IFRS17 framework
  • Group Underlying Earnings reporting
  • Dependency on the data from other departments (i.e., IT, Financial Control and Accounting, Alternative Channels), as could affect the quality and timeliness of the report.
  • Ensuring that there are no significant gaps in the model that could affect the projections and that the assumptions are consistent with the latest approved assumptions.
Strategic Planning
  • Works in forecasting to help management in determining annual targets, as well as assessing current performance against
  • Financial projections (e.g., strategic plan projections, forecasting)
  • Dependency on inputs from various departments, as very critical to the resulting quality and timeliness of the Strategic Plan results.
  • Ensuring that there are no significant gaps in the model that could affect the projections and that the assumptions are consistent with the latest approved assumptions.
Supports local business units
  • Provides support to various business units and committees of the company
  • Figures / reports requested by other units
  • Insights to the decisions of the various units and committees of the company
  • Dependency on the data from other departments (i.e. IT, Financial Control and Accounting, Corporate Solutions, Channels, etc.)

QualificationsSkills and KnowledgeEducational QualificationsRelevant Experience
  • Graduate of BS Mathematics, BS Accountancy, BS Statistics, or other related courses
  • At least two (2) Actuarial exams passed
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in life insurance or similar industry
  • Exposure to IFRS17 reporting framework is a plus
