PURPOSE (why does the position exist, WITH what objectives and WITHIN what limits) The Quality Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring that products, services, or systems meet the company's quality standards and customer expectations. This role involves inspecting and testing products at various stages of production or service delivery, identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards. The Quality Inspector helps maintain the integrity of the quality control process and supports continuous improvement initiatives. Minimum Requirements Education Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field Valid Driver's License Experience Minimum of 2 years in quality inspection or a similar quality control role, preferably in telecommunications, IT, or manufacturing. Business Understanding Proficiency in using measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and testing equipment. Familiarity with quality inspection procedures, product specifications, and testing standards. Knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001, and industry-specific standards. Technical Knowledge Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams. Ability to follow detailed instructions and accurately document findings. Accuracy and completeness of inspection reports. Defect detection rates and effectiveness in identifying non-conforming products or services. Reduction in customer complaints or returns related to product quality. Compliance with inspection timelines and quality standards. Contribution to reducing overall defect rates through effective inspection and reporting. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (Tasks/Responsibilities) Inspection and Testing Conduct inspections of materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet predefined quality specifications. Perform tests on products or systems at different stages of production or service delivery to identify defects, malfunctions, or deviations from quality standards. Use specialized tools and equipment to measure dimensions, performance, or functionality as required. Compliance with Standards Ensure all inspections comply with the relevant internal standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements. Review product or service documentation, such as blueprints, specifications, or process guidelines, to verify conformity. Report non-compliance or deviations and work with the team to implement corrective actions. Documentation and Reporting Record inspection results, including defects and discrepancies, in detailed reports. Maintain accurate records of quality control inspections, tests, and outcomes. Submit timely inspection reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and suggest improvements based on observations. Problem Identification and Resolution Identify root causes of quality issues and collaborate with production teams or service departments to resolve problems. Recommend improvements to production processes or service delivery to enhance quality performance. Participate in the implementation of corrective and preventive measures to minimize future defect. Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams Work closely with production, operations, and engineering teams to address quality concerns and improve overall processes. Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss inspection outcomes, trends, and necessary improvements. Provide feedback and insights to help improve product or service design and processes. Adherence to Safety Protocols Follow company safety standards during inspections and while handling equipment. Ensure that products and services meet safety regulations and guidelines, especially in industries where safety compliance is critical. Report any safety hazards identified during inspections to relevant teams.
