Job Summary: The Financial Controller will lead the financial operations of a combined hotel and theme park setup. The role entails oversight of budgeting, financial reporting, cost control, audit, risk management, and strategic financial planning. The Financial Controller will ensure accurate financial records, compliance with statutory regulations, and support executive management with key financial insights to optimize profitability and performance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Management & Reporting Oversee all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Consolidate financial reporting for the hotel and theme park entities. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting aligned with local and international accounting standards. 2. Budgeting & Forecasting Develop and manage annual budgets for both the hotel and theme park divisions. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis with actionable insights. Lead the forecasting process to support strategic decision-making. 3. Cost Control & Profitability Implement effective cost control systems across departments (F&B, Rooms, Attractions, Retail, Maintenance, etc.). Analyze departmental profitability and recommend efficiency improvements. Monitor capital expenditures and ROI for new projects or attractions. 4. Internal Controls & Compliance Ensure strong internal controls and audit trails are in place for all financial transactions. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, licensing, and financial laws. Liaise with internal and external auditors during audits. 5. Cash Flow & Treasury Management Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity. Optimize banking and treasury operations, including foreign exchange where applicable. Manage vendor payments and collections with a focus on maintaining healthy working capital. 6. Strategic Support & Leadership Partner with operational heads (GM, Park Director, F&B, Sales & Marketing) to drive financial performance. Provide financial input on pricing, promotional activities, and capital investment decisions. Lead and mentor the finance team; build a high-performance finance department. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA/CA preferred). Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Previous experience in hospitality (hotels/resorts) and/or theme parks/amusement parks preferred.
