- Lead the conduction of different non-clinical evidence generation studies according to timeline, while observing ethical, regulatory and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) requirements on:
- Evaluation of raw materials and finished goods according to specifications.
- Analysis of purity and efficacy of internally and externally sourced finished goods (Biosimilars / Biologics).
- Development of herbal product candidates.
- Application of different validated in chemico, in vitro or in vivo laboratory protocols (USP, OECD, WHO, NIH, etc.) and contributes to development or introduction of new methods / assays suitable in the different projects of the department.
- With applied knowledge in laboratory biosafety and biosecurity protocols.
- Performs and / or supervise the detailed planning, accurate computation needed in the experimental procedures, ensures the complete and accurate recording of experimental data, and statistical analysis of resulting data.
- Prepares and / or review reports on experiments conducted within agreed timelines.
- Lead the team in the internal or external communication of study results in Key Opinion Leader (KOL) meeting, PSR or marketing team's training, scientific publication, etc.
- Provides other services necessary and relevant for efficient and effective operation of the department.
- Prepares biologically important fractions / extracts for research and non-clinical studies.
- Ensures compliance of the department in the usage of PNP and PDEA-controlled chemicals.
- Lead the preparation and management of OPEX / CAPEX of the unit.
- Conducts and / or provides training programs to members of the unit according to training plan.
- Graduate of BS Chemistry or Biochemistry with at least 7 years of relevant applied laboratory and technical experience, must be a licensed Chemist.
- With applied experience in using Chemistry equipment (especially liquid chromatography techniques), related analysis and statistical software (e.g., GraphPad Prism, SAS, etc.).
- With applied knowledge on quality evaluation of biosimilars / biologics, USP tests, GLP documentation and other important regulatory requirements for product registration
- With applied experience in other related natural sciences (e.g., Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Animal Pharmacology, etc.) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of data visualization and presentation is an advantage.
- Must be adept in Office-based software (Word processing, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
- Must be a team player that can efficiently and effectively supervise a team / and or laboratory unit.
