Pharmacy Assistant

• Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Provide information on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products.
• Answer customer inquiries about prescriptions and medication usage, under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist.

• Receive and process prescription orders.
• Prepare medications for dispensing, including counting, labeling, and packaging.
• Ensure prescriptions are accurately filled according to guidelines.

• Monitor and manage stock levels of medications and supplies.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and pharmacy products.
• Conduct regular stock checks and assist in managing expired or recalled products.

• Maintain accurate patient records and prescription logs.
• Assist in updating patient medication profiles.

• Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and complies with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a well-organized workspace for efficient dispensing and product management.

• Adhere to all pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient information in compliance with privacy regulations.

• Handle phone calls, emails, and other administrative duties as needed.
• Help with insurance claim processing and billing issues when required.
