This role involves preparing, formatting, and revising legal documents to meet the firm's standards and client requirements.Key responsibilitiesAudio Transcription
  • Confidential - Court hearings and interviews.
  • Meetings & file notes.
  • Advices, pleadings and letters.
  • Chronologies.
Document creation and management
  • Create and format legal documents including briefs, contracts, agreements, and correspondence.
  • Convert documents to/from house style.
  • Convert documents from various formats to Word or PDF, ensuring integrity of the content.
  • Proofread documents for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to legal formatting standards.
  • Make necessary corrections to grammar, spelling, and document layout in line with house style.
  • Document clean up and repair.
  • Redactions, bookmarking, hyperlinking, redline / track changes.
  • Combine and compare documents.
  • Convert documents from various formats to Word or PDF, ensuring integrity of the content.
  • Insert letterhead, electronic signature.
Copy typing
  • Recreate handwritten or printed documents into digital format.
  • Data entry, extraction, management.
Desktop publishing and other tasks
  • PowerPoint presentations & BD docs (bids, flyers, legal updates, pitch docs, team sheets etc)
  • Flowcharts, diagrams, graphs.
  • Tables, references, citations.
  • Template and form creation.
Other
  • Stay updated with the latest software and technological advancements in legal document production.
  • Troubleshoot document issues and provide technical assistance to legal staff.
Attributes
  • You will be a professional WP Operator with a minimum of 4 years legal WP experience ideally gained in a litigation firm.
  • Min. Typing speed 90 WPM.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong Adobe Acrobat and Outlook skills.
  • Experience working within a legal document management system or similar is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, multi-task and set priorities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain productive and respectful working relationships.
  • Demonstrated commitment to innovation and efficiency.
