- Proactively test proprietary Android device locking technology across a wide range of devices and OS versions following every OTA update.
- Conduct systematic security testing after updates or changes to the locking technology.
- Research and utilize emerging lock-bypass tools, software, and hardware techniques to identify vulnerabilities.
- Simulate real-world attack vectors including factory reset exploits, bootloader vulnerabilities, ADB exploits, custom ROM flashing, and FRP bypass methods.
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scenarios focused on device lock security and anti-tampering mechanisms.
- Document vulnerabilities, testing methodologies, and reproduction steps clearly in bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).
- Work closely with Android developers, security engineers, and product managers to report issues, analyze root causes, and validate fixes.
- Provide detailed reports on testing outcomes, vulnerability status, and overall security posture.
- Stay up to date on Android security trends including rooting techniques, bootloader unlocking, custom firmware, and emerging bypass tools.
- Maintain a device testing lab with multiple Android models and security testing tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of QA experience, including 1-2 years focused on Android mobile testing.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in testing software security mechanisms and device restriction bypass methods.
- Strong knowledge of Android OS architecture including bootloader, recovery mode, ADB, fastboot, partitions, and security layers.
- Familiarity with Android modification tools and techniques (e.g., Magisk, Xposed Framework, custom ROMs such as LineageOS).
- Experience with Android debugging tools such as Android Studio, Logcat, and network analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark or tcpdump).
- Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clear technical documentation capability.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
