- Must have 5 years of relevant work experience in public accounting firms or client accounting services firm
- Must have 2 years of relevant work experience as a Controller or CFO
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Management
- CPA desirable, but not required.
- Computer Skills required: Expert Level experience in Xero Accounting Software and Excel is a must. Ability to learn new applications for client use and to support client work.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- US Tax background desirable (Advantageous of knowledgeable and familiarity of US Tax preparation (Business and Personal returns) and US Sales tax_
- Has excellent consulting skills - develops an understanding of client businesses and uses the knowledge to help diagnose needs/opportunities and suggest solutions.- Experience with Bill.com, US Payroll and/or other accounting systems, is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong organizational and detailed skills
- Manage all Outsourced Finance Operations for efficiency and profitability
- Review all monthly work and financial reports
- Suggest updates to pricing and proposal updates for additional work.
- Review and oversee accounting work to ensure timely and quality delivery of engagements.
- Participates in Outsourced Accounting Client Billing
- Manages Accounting Department Budgets/Realization/Deadlines
- Utilize Project Management tools daily to monitor project status is current
- Conduct weekly team meetings
- Attend weekly management meetings
- Schedule client meetings, agenda and manage report due dates with assistance from Client Success Coordinator
- Act as client manager, collaborating with other client service teams to provide delivery of all services outlined in the firm's proposal approved by the client
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Mentor, supervise, and train accounting staff
- Address client and staff questions and concerns in a timely matter
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Develops assignment budgets and monitors realization, utilization, and accounts receivable progress.
- Reviews and confirms assignment objectives scope and work plan with the client.
