Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. The Construction Engineer will be responsible for providing repair upgrades and modernization of projects including fire sprinklers, HVAC, plumbing, repainting, roof extension structures, window and door replacements, flooring, etc. Provide construction inspection and supervision on all aspects of construction quality assurance, facility and infrastructure construction Provide overall coordination of the construction quality management program for assigned projects Provide recommendations toward approval of contractor quality control plan Attend selective quality control, preparatory and initial meetings, and monitor three-phase checklists for accuracy and thoroughness Provide relevant remarks on Government Quality Assurance (QA) reports (or in identified section of Contractor's Quality Control (QC) reports), particularly on critical, definable features of work included Validate quantity, condition, and approval of materials on site prior to Government issuing invoice payments Attend/witness selected tests and review all applicable test reports and results Keep the Government sponsor advised as to the status of projects under his/her administrative and technical control, but the responsibility to plan and carry out the assignment is accomplished independently Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Qualifications To be successful in the role: Bachelor's degree in engineering with an additional 5 years of relevant experience in Engineering & Construction. Must be a Licensed Engineer Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in construction work with emphasis on materials testing, quality control and assurance, laboratory testing and a firm understanding of requirements and specifications of testing and materials. Must have CQM and EM385 Training Demonstrated experience in pre-stressing works and quality control, and experience in different classes of concrete mix-design, under different conditions of construction procedures. Excellent English in written and verbal communication skills. With a valid driver's license.
