PERMANENT DAYSHIFT WORK FROM HOME / REMOTE JOB TITLE: AutoCAD Drafter and Structural Designer PART TIME - to start at 30 hours weekly VA RATE: $10AUD per Hour *(negotiable) Purpose: The position's primary responsibility is to create detailed technical drawings for buildings using computer-aided design (CAD) software like AutoCAD. This highly-trained draftsman will work with architects and engineers to design and create 2D computer models of buildings from blueprints or from scratch. Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 6 years experience as an AutoCAD Drafter and Structural Designer Bachelor&aposs degree in civil or structural engineering Strong analytical and mathematical skills: are essential for load calculations and structural analysis. Proficiency in CAD software: for creating and modifying designs. Excellent problem-solving skills: to address design challenges and construction issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills: for collaborating with various stakeholders. Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations . Experience in project management: is often required for senior roles. Experience in working for an Australian business is preferred but not required Familiar with steel and timber framing, and concrete design. Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare technical drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit. Creating detailed designs for buildings Load Calculations and Analysis: Determining the loads and stresses that a structure must withstand and ensuring it can safely bear these forces. Material Selection: Choosing appropriate building materials based on structural requirements and project specifications. - Tarek will provide Collaboration: Working closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers throughout the project lifecycle. Documentation: Preparing reports, blueprints, technical drawings, and other construction documents.
