- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or equivalent professional certification (preferred)
- Advanced certifications or training in specialized areas (e.g., IFRS, GAAP, Taxation) are an asset
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, 4 years of which are in corporate accounting
- Expertise in complex accounting matters including consolidation and foreign currency transactions
- Strong background in developing technical standards and process improvements
- Deep subject matter expertise in complex accounting areas, including consolidation, foreign currency transactions, and advanced revenue recognition scenarios
- Authority in reviewing and approving high-level accounting deliverables, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Advanced knowledge of relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and statutory requirements
- Ability to lead the development and implementation of technical standards, methodologies, and best practices
- Skilled in driving process innovation and efficiency within the accounting team
- Ability to provide authoritative guidance and resolve complex technical queries independently
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal stakeholders and addressing technical issues
- High attention to detail, with a focus on ensuring the accuracy of complex deliverables
- Problem-solving mindset, able to resolve complex accounting and technical challenges
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
- Collaborative, with a willingness to share knowledge and support team members in their professional development
- Constantly strives for continuous improvement, both personally and within the team
