This role supports project managers by ensuring financial data integrity, validating cost-related entries, and applying core finance knowledge (e.g., debit/credit, margin review). The specialist may also take over financial responsibilities when project managers are unable to cover finance items, particularly related to profit and loss tracking.Key AccountabilitiesTransaction Recording & Validation
- Record finance-related data in systems like SAP and CPM.
- Validate entries against source documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain and update recorded transactions as needed.
- Liaise with relevant business units to resolve concerns related to finance or project data.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of business requests.
- Align with project managers to update project plans and financial components.
- Apply working knowledge of accounting principles including debit/credit, margin review, and cost validation.
- Support financial aspects of projects when project managers are unavailable, especially for profit and loss tracking.
- Utilize ERP systems (SAP and CPM) effectively for finance-related tasks.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of CPM functionalities relevant to finance operations.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across teams.
- Handle multiple projects/accounts and manage workload during peak periods.
- Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in General Accounting within a Global Shared Services environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any business-related course.
- Proficient in SAP and CPM systems.
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid understanding of finance fundamentals (e.g., debit/credit, margin review, cost validation).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
- Familiarity with project P&L concepts.
- Ability to work extended hours during peak periods.
- Willingness to work on Philippine holidays.
