The subject teacher is primarily a formator who guides the students in their search for truth and knowledge. He/she is responsible for the effective delivery of the instructional program.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Prepares lesson plans using the prescribed format and submits these to the Subject Area Coordinator on the scheduled day of the weekDelivers the daily lessons to the assigned classes according to the prepared lesson plans but with enough flexibility for adjustments whenever appropriateEvaluates student progress and achievement regularly through quizzes, long tests, exams and other forms of evaluation prepared according to the prescribed design and the subject area guidelineGives the students regular feedback on their performance by returning tests, exams and projects within a reasonable amount of timeKeeps a record of student progressInitiates conferences with students and parents as needed and makes himself available for student consultation and parent-teacher conferences as neededAttends year level and subject area meetings and activities, convocations, general faculty meetings, masses, faculty retreats, community spiritual hour and serves in committee work whenever necessaryServes as exam proctor during the periodical examsSubstitutes for absent teachers when assigned by the Subject Area CoordinatorImplements set routines and procedures for effective classroom managementPerforms any other such duties as may be required by the position in accordance with the instruction and guidelines of the APAAQualifications:Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s/College Degree,Professional License (passed board/bar/professional license exam) in Secondary Education, or equivalent.At least one (1) year of teaching experience in secondary educationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a team, with a warm personality and a flexible attitudeProficient in MS Office and G Suite applicationEntry Level / Junior, Apprentice Education and Training Higher Education / Academia 1 opening Bachelor's degree graduateAteneo de Manila University (Ateneo) is one of the leading universities in the Philippines.
