This Research and Development Manager (Meat Products) is responsible for initiating, conducting, and leading Raw Materials Research and Innovation in meat across JFC PH Business Units and Foreign Franchised Brands. He/ She is the resource person providing scientific expertise and technological principles leading to the development and improvement of meat products, raw materials, and processes within research, new product development, and manufacturing settings. He/ She is engaged in all product platforms requiring knowledge of food, food components properties and functionalities, and food processes including Product Improvement and Reengineering, Process Optimization, Science-based Risk Management, and Technical Capability Building initiatives focused on meat with the goal of ensuring taste superiority, high product acceptability, cost leadership, and business sustainability. QUALIFICATIONS BS in Food Technology, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the food industry, especially, on raw materials optimization, product improvement, manufacturing, quality assurance, process development and optimization, and application of functional materials At least 2 years of experience leading cross-functional teams Working successfully with suppliers Training in Animal Science, Meat Science, Poultry Science, Meat Processing and Technology, Processing Equipment, and the chemistry and application of food ingredients (particularly, Functional Ingredients and other relevant Meat Ingredients) Licensure in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is preferred Must be willing to work in Pasig.
