- Assists top management in the execution of business and financial plans and in evaluating investment opportunities or special projects and makes recommendations
- Advises top management on existing and evolving operating and financial issues
- Advocates sound financial and business decision-making
- Oversees Accounting functions, conducts financial analysis, prepares reports and presents findings to senior management
- Assist in developing and monitoring budgets and preparing financial forecasts
- Enables senior management to make sound and timely decisions by providing timely and accurate financial reports and cost and budget analysis
- Analyzes and prepares reports on financial results to the Board of Directors
- Ensures that the company complies with audit, accounting and regulatory standards and requirements
- Maintains and improves internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Coordinates and supports internal and external audit processes
- Oversees credit and collection, develops and implements policies, strategies and action plans to ensure the achievement of collection targets.
- Provides regular update to Management on accounts receivables (AR), collection performance and the rate of collection
- Explores and develops new collection channels including maximizing the available services of free bank collection agents
- Manages and ensures adequate cash flow to meet operational needs
- Maximizes the company’s funds and resources
- Analyzes company’s finances and comes up with cost efficiency/cost reduction strategies and programs
- Maintains good business relationship with the banks
- Ensures the proper documentation of expenses and departmental compliance with approved budget
- Ensures timely and accurate disbursements and proper recording of accounts payable (AP)
- Ensures compliance with local and national government laws
- Ensures timely payments of all taxes payable
- Makes recommendations on the latest tax policies and implications on the company’s current tax practice.
- Ensures updates on PFRS, BIR and SEC Rulings, Memorandum and Circulars
- Documents, identities and implements improvements in financial policies and procedures
- Assesses, identifies and recommends the right business software/financial or ERP system for the organization
- Cascades the company’s goals and aligns individual staff performance goals in accordance with the overall corporate goals
- Trains and supervises staff, reviews, and evaluates their performance
- Sets the example and inculcates the company’s core values, vision and mission among staff
- Analyzes and identifies manpower requirements and recommends a structure/table of organization to effectively carry out financial functions
- Collaborates with other departments and colleagues to support decision-making and achieve common goals
- Graduate of Accountancy, Must be a CPA, having a Master’s degree is a plus factor.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
- Strong financial acumen, financial accounting, reporting, FS analysis and interpretation
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations and compliance
