Furniture Designer

• Create accurate AutoCAD / Cabinet Vision plans and perspectives (drawings) based from clients/sales hand sketches, verbal instructions, design reference and site visits
• Create designs and drawings that are realistic, workable (execution), and efficient (material consumption)
• Create material list or bill of materials for costing and for ordering purposes
• Create cut list of boards and other materials for production
• Perform initial site measurement
• Perform final site measurement and site markings when needed
• Review and correct own drawings for errors and requirements prior to sending to Clients
• Prepare and generate detailed drawings in plan, elevation, and section views (cut / bore / groove / edge band, etc.) with complete project specifications for Production using AutoCAD / Cabinet Vision Software
• Coordinate with external third parties/vendors (outsource Suppliers, such as countertops, metalworks & solid wood works)
• Systematically save drawings on NAS server, keeping files organized, updating project folders and files as jobs progress and revisions are made (i.e. delete unnecessary files or documents, delete not awarded projects that are >3 years)
• Continuous coordination with Sales, Client and/or Client representative to produce the Final Drawings for production and installation (i.e. Seek approval, obtain equipment specifications, etc.)
• Continuous coordination with the TEAM (Operations Manager, Production Planner, Production and Project Team Leader) regarding ongoing projects
• Perform other duties assigned by Management and Immediate Head
