Job Tasks/Responsibilities: Deliver automated document extraction and data enrichment solutions. Manipulate data using R or SQL Server; develop advanced ad hoc queries to investigate data anomalies and to summarize data for pattern detection Develop round-trip data flows that prepare data for IDP and format the results for analytical purposes Collaborate with experienced modelers to build predictive models and analytic solutions using Python or R; apply techniques such as NLP, decision trees, and clustering. Execute proof-of-concepts to evaluate the business value of internal tooling and external vendors/ data. Use AI technologies such as natural language processing to extract business data from unstructured and semi-structured sources (e.g., loss history reports, insurance applications, claim files, application scraping using OCR/ generative AI, etc.). Create technical documentation to archive end-to-end processes Impact Analysis - awareness of how changes, including new or updated processes and automations will impact the business operations and customers. Mandatory/Primary Skills: Desired Skills/ Experience: A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from datasets Ideally, 3+ years of experience in an engineering role or equivalent using Python Detail oriented with strong organizational skills Excellent critical thinking skills in order to tackle complex data challenges Comfortable working in a fast paced and highly collaborative global team Experience configuring & establishing automations utilizing IDP software solutions is a huge plus Experience identifying opportunities for improving business processes The ideal candidate will have experience working in the insurance industry Experience with OCR, NLP, and/or image analytics is a plus Experience with cloud technologies and is a plus Education: BS in Computer Science, Information Technology degree, Data Analytics or equivalent
