The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant & Financial Analyst to be the foundation of our financial operations. In this role, you will own our entire accounting process, which is managed through a robust system of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. You will ensure the absolute accuracy of our financial records while also taking on the exciting challenge of translating that data into clear, actionable insights using modern BI tools. The ideal candidate is a seasoned accountant who is an expert in Excel and is excited by the prospect of learning and using modern data platforms like Metabase and NocoDB to drive business decisions. Key Responsibilities Core Accounting & Financial Management (60%) Own the end-to-end accounting process using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets as our general ledger. Perform flawless monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and revenue from booking platforms (Airbnb, Vrbo, etc.). Manage all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Prepare and deliver accurate monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, etc.) for the company and for individual properties. Ensure meticulous transaction categorization and data integrity. Manage owner payouts and prepare monthly owner statements. Financial Analysis & Reporting (30%) Maintain and enhance our financial reporting dashboards in Metabase (training provided). Structure and prepare data for our reporting database in NocoDB (training provided). Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) like RevPAR, ADR, Occupancy, and NOI. Identify financial trends and provide insights to management to support strategic decision-making. Tax & Market Support (10%) Prepare comprehensive and organized financial packages for our primary tax accountant. Assist with market research on competitors in the Atlanta area as needed. Must-Haves Qualifications & Skills Bachelor&aposs degree in Accounting. A CPA is highly preferred. 4+ years of professional accounting experience. Expert-level skill in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. You must be able to build and manage ledgers, use complex formulas (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS), and create financial reports from raw data. A strong understanding of core accounting principles is non-negotiable. A strong analytical mindset and a genuine willingness and enthusiasm to learn new data software (Metabase, NocoDB). Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Excellent English communication skills. A reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home office setup. Nice-to-Haves Experience in the real estate, hospitality, or short-term rental industry. Previous experience with any BI or data visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
