- Develop and execute a comprehensive media relations strategy to secure placements in print, broadcast, and online media across the region.
- Establish, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers, and industry influencers in the food, agribusiness (livestock, aquaculture, pet food), and agriculture sectors.
- Pitch story ideas, craft press releases, and manage media inquiries.
- Proactively monitor media coverage and industry trends, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Develop and deliver media training programs for internal teams, with a specific focus on crisis communication.
- Collaborate with the Communications Manager to develop and implement communication strategies that support brand objectives and build a positive corporate reputation.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of consistent brand messaging across communication channels, including internal and external communications, promotional materials, among others.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent brand messaging across all communications.
- Monitor effectiveness, prepare reports, and use of data & insights to help enhance our future campaigns
- Develop high-impact, compelling stories that resonate with target audiences
- Develop and maintain the Crisis Communication Plan to ensure effective response and communication during critical situations.
- Create media training programs for internal teams, with a specific focus on crisis communication, to ensure all spokespersons are prepared to effectively represent the company in media interviews.
- Provide guidance to the team with PR and Media, preferably with experience in multinational companies, specifically within pan-Asia or Southeast Asia regions.
- Serve as the lead point of contact for media inquiries and other communication matters.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including other departments, business units, and industry associations.
- Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. Experience:
- At least three (3) years of professional experience in the related field, with a proven track record of securing positive media placements
- Strong command of the English & Filipino languages, both written and oral.
- Able to write clear, concise, and grammatically correct communications
- Experience in developing and implementing communication plans, including crisis communication strategies.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with media and other stakeholders.
- Willing to travel
