THE OPPORTUNITYOur client is a long-standing Australian insurance company with over 100 years of trusted service. As part of their ongoing digital transformation, they're looking to hire a Full Stack Ruby on Rails Developer to help drive the development of secure and scalable internal platforms.In this role, you'll work across the full stack with a strong focus on Ruby on Rails, contributing to architectural decisions and backend systems. This is a foundation role aimed at expanding the engineering team and setting the stage for future technical growth. This is a hybrid position, requiring onsite work in Manila on Mondays and Tuesdays.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Develop and maintain software solutions using Ruby on Rails, .NET, and JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React.
Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Continuously improve processes, tools, and development practices within the team.
Take ownership of features from concept to deployment, including testing, debugging, and support.
Collaborate with team members across locations, contributing to a transparent and communicative remote culture.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

3+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails.
Solid hands-on experience with jQuery, AJAX, HTML & CSS.
Basic experience with .NET (C#) and Unit Testing Framework(xUnit,NUnit, MSTest) for backend service integration or legacy system support.
Knowledge of Single Sign-On / Entra integration.
Competence with REST APIs for various frontend and backend frameworks
Working knowledge of Angular or React (at least one modern JS framework).
Understanding of microservices architecture, and DevOps or CI/CD practices.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization tools.
