The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans for materials procurement, inventory management, and demand forecasting. The Senior Strategic Materials Planner will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability of materials, optimize inventory levels, and drive cost savings. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities: * Develop and execute strategic plans for materials procurement, inventory management, and demand forecasting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand production requirements, sales forecasts, and customer demand patterns.
  • Analyze historical data, market trends, and customer insights to forecast demand accurately.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize inventory turns and minimize stock-outs.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
  • Monitor market conditions, industry trends, and regulatory changes to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives, such as supplier consolidation, alternative sourcing, and inventory optimization.
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, and quality teams to ensure efficient materials flow and minimize lead times.
  • Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators, including inventory levels, supplier performance, and cost savings.
Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in materials planning, procurement, and inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain principles, demand forecasting techniques, and inventory management best practices.
  • Proficient in using supply chain management software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve supply chain issues.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
