About The Job The Senior Software Tester's role is responsible for reviewing, designing, and building test implementations. Including test strategy, development, and execution of software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes. Senior software testers also ensure software quality within complex systems and integrations. W hat You Will Do Test case creation and hands-on testing of more complex features Support testers with reviewing requirements, test plans, test procedures, test artifacts, and test reports, as needed Develop and manage and lead the execution of a comprehensive test plan. Monitor team conduct test execution based on predefine stage and type of testing activities (functional test, regression test, system test, integration test, E2E, UAT, Smoke Test) Ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked and resolved in the defect tracking system. Recommend solutions or work around for defects when appropriate. Help identify and prioritize test conditions addressing product risks and features to be tested Understand the product/feature in-depth from the end-user point of view and also the underlying implementation. Work closely with the Product Manager, Front-end, and Backend developers to understand the feature and the implementation to derive and execute feature tests and impacted feature test cases. Understand automation framework and add automation test cases for the new features and regression test cases Work with software testers to ensure the system supports both automated and manual test needs. Perform root cause analysis / diagnosis of issues that occur on testing and production system Use expertise and creativity for innovative product recommendation and solutions. Use functional and organizational knowledge to mentor, train and supervise Associate and Intermediate Software Testers What You Should Have Minimum 5 years' proven experience in a software tester role or similar role. S trong knowledge and experience with Financial / Lending Domain Systems - Loan Processing, Payments, Call Center, Campaign management etc. Strong knowledge of a variety of testing techniques and approaches Strong knowledge of test and defect management software (e.g. Jira, Zephyr) Proficiency with database technology (e.g. Oracle, SQL) Strong knowledge with API testing using SOAP-UI & POSTMAN. Highly experience in working with Web, Mobile, and API Testing in both manual & automation testing. Should have a deeper understanding of the product at the implementation level, should be able to analyze logs and API responses in the Microservice integration level.
