Job Description for Substation Engineer:a. Turns over and coordinates daily with the next shift Substation Engineer Plant Operation and Maintenance and other service providers during normal and abnormal conditions concerning the operation and maintenance of the plant.b. Coordinate with the Grid/Utility for required reports and requirements during shiftc. Coordinate with the Grid/Utility during planned and unplanned isolation/energization during shiftd. Coordinate and conduct joint meter readings with Plant Operations during shifte. Switching operation of Substation Equipment (115kV and 22kV) during normal and abnormal conditions, per instruction from authorized personnel.f. All isolation and restorations of line and/or any equipment should comply with an approved switching sequenceg. Documentation of all switching operations performedh. Monitoring of Operational Parameters on Plant Equipmenti. Gathering of initial information such as but not limited to annunciator panel indication, relay/protection actuated, relay targets (both sides of the zone for transmission line), weather, lightning arrester counters, and visual observations at the switchyard.j. Immediate reporting on all fault incidents including the initial information and coordination to different functional groups in the Plant Operation.k. Hourly updating on the status of rectification being made until line/equipment is normalized on any sustained faults. All details of the tripping incident shall be recorded in an applicable form and on the operations logbookl. Conduct the Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Preventive Maintenance Schedules as specified in the Owners O & M manual.h. Willing to be assigned in Pililla, Rizal.
