The Data Analyst plays a key role in enabling us to become a more data-informed organisation. As part of a newly formed Data & Analytics team-alongside a Data Engineer and Power BI Developer-this role will focus on working closely with stakeholders across the business to define, measure, and analyse the metrics that matter most. The successful candidate will bring analytical curiosity, business acumen, and a drive to understand and improve business performance through data. This role will be responsible for identifying and validating critical business KPIs, collaborating to embed them into our semantic models and reporting layers, and generating insights that guide decision-making and strategic planning. Key Responsibilities Business Engagement & KPI Definition . Partner with functional teams (e.g., Finance, Sales, Operations, Marketing) to identify and define key metrics, business questions, and reporting needs. . Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to uncover pain points, success measures, and opportunities for improvement. . Translate business processes and goals into measurable KPIs and performance indicators. Analytics & Insight Generation . Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, anomalies, and actionable insights. . Work with data from the Medallion Architecture (Silver and Gold layers) to evelop trusted reporting and analytics. . Build and iterate on analytical models, dashboards, or data sets in collaboration with the Power BI Developer. Data Validation & Metric Governance . Help ensure consistency and accuracy of key business definitions across reporting and analytics. . Support documentation of KPIs, including definitions, formulas, ownership, and rationale. . Contribute to a trusted source-of-truth semantic layer in Power BI by collaborating on metric alignment. Enablement & Storytelling . Deliver insights to stakeholders through compelling data storytelling and dashboard reviews. . Help build a data-driven culture by enabling teams to ask better questions and explore answers using Power BI. . Support training and onboarding for teams new to self-service analytics tools. Qualifications & Experience . Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Analytics, Information Systems, or related field. . Certifications in data analysis (e.g., Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Google Data Analytics) are desirable but not required. . 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related fields (open to strong candidates from other domains transitioning into analytics). . Experience working with modern BI tools (Power BI preferred) and strong understanding of KPIs and performance measurement. . Proven ability to work with stakeholders to define analytical requirements and deliver insights.
