About the Job: As our Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing bookkeeping tasks with precision as well as supporting our customer service team from time to time with client inquiries and payments. This role is for someone who enjoys collaboration and takes pride in being organized. Here is what Fit to Live can offer you: Opportunities for career growth Balanced work schedules Free Pilates classes Other benefits Duties & Responsibilities: Interact warmly with clients to process payments and assist with appointments and class bookings. Ensure precise recording of all financial transactions. Accurately record transactions in our POS system. Oversee and uphold appropriate bookkeeping procedures in line with GAAP. Actively improve the efficiency of bookkeeping procedures. Lead month-end closing tasks, including reconciliation of general ledger accounts, preparation of accruals, and journal entries according to GAAP standards. Prepare the Accounts Payable process to ensure timely and accurate payments Oversee Invoicing and Accounts Receivable to ensure accurate billing and timely collections Ensure precise inventory management. Handle payroll processing accurately and on time. Ensure timely consolidation of financial statements on a monthly basis. Work closely with the accounting team to address and resolve discrepancies. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Preferably 1-3+ years of experience in both bookkeeping or accounting roles Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred), Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel Decent interpersonal skills and clear communication Self-motivated with initiative and willingness to learn and upskill Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize tasks Ethical, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining high standards of integrity A proactive, continuous learning mindset to stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes If you're detail-oriented, passionate about numbers, and love working in a supportive, wellness-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you!
