We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our renewable energy team. The role will focus on the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for renewable projects such as biomass, and waste-to-energy facilities. The Mechanical Project Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all mechanical aspects of the project are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate mechanical engineering activities across the full project lifecycle-from feasibility and design to construction, commissioning, and handover.Review and develop mechanical designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documents for renewable energy projects.Conduct feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and cost estimations for mechanical systems.Collaborate with electrical, civil, and process engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.Manage vendor and subcontractor technical deliverables, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.Perform site inspections to monitor progress, verify quality of installation, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and change orders.Support procurement activities by developing technical requirements, evaluating bids, and participating in supplier selection.Participate in commissioning activities and resolve any mechanical-related issues during start-up.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; Professional Mechanical Engineer license is an advantage.Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in mechanical engineering for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, biomass, or similar).Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and material selection.Proficient in CAD software and engineering design tools.Experience in project management and familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.).Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
