Accounting Associate

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
• Support accounts payable and receivable activities
• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments
• Help reconcile bank statements and loan accounts
• Maintain organized financial files and documentation
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Provide administrative support to the finance and loan servicing departments
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
• Perform data entry and help with system updates
• Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and financial reviews

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, charts, basic data analysis)
• Familiar with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or any academic exposure to similar tools
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Ability to work with numbers accurately and efficiently
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the financial services industry
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to handle confidential information responsibly

• Completed internship or on-the-job training in accounting, finance, or administrative support (if available)
• Participated in school projects or case studies related to financial reporting, budgeting, or loan processing
• Involved in university organizations, leadership roles, or volunteer work that required record-keeping, budgeting, or coordination
• Hands-on academic experience in preparing basic financial reports, reconciliations, or bookkeeping tasks
• Capable of supporting senior accountants with clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and report preparation
• Exposure to lending or financial institutions is a plus but not required
