- Lead the design and development of DC/DC and AC/DC switch-mode power supplies using a variety of power conversion topologies.
- Own product development from concept through volume production, ensuring compliance with performance, cost, schedule, quality, and reliability targets.
- Drive robust DfX (Design for Manufacturability, Test, Reliability, Cost, Compliance) practices in collaboration with PCB layout, mechanical, manufacturing, supply chain, test, and quality engineering teams.
- Lead research and development activities of new technologies.
- Perform or oversee circuit simulations, DFMEA, component stress analysis, reliability predictions, design verification testing, and technical documentation.
- Act as a technical authority and subject matter expert, providing guidance and constructive feedback during design and peer reviews.
- Support customer engagement by participating in technical discussions, requirements definition, and design status reviews.
- Manage team performance to support business growth, customer satisfaction, quality objectives, and margin targets.
- Conduct regular staff and project meetings to manage schedules, priorities, risks, and resource allocation.
- Lead hiring, onboarding, retention, mentoring, and professional development of engineering talent.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 15+ years of experience in power supply or related power electronics design
- 3-5 years of engineering management experience
- In-depth knowledge of power conversion principles, control theory, and topologies.
- Deep experience in mixed-signal power electronics design, simulation, and testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with magnetics design, including custom transformers and inductors.
- Experience designing EMC/EMI filters to meet regulatory compliance.
- Exposure to high voltage is a plus.
- Proficiency in modeling, simulation, and laboratory validation of power electronics designs.
- Strong project management and supervisory capabilities.
- Ability to balance hands-on technical contribution with strategic leadership.
- Solid understanding of business drivers, product cost structures, and development tradeoffs.
