The Transport Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of transportation systems and infrastructure. This includes roadways, bridges, traffic systems, and public transport networks. The role involves analyzing data, performing feasibility studies, preparing technical drawings, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities Conduct traffic and transport studies, including modeling and simulations. Design road layouts, traffic signal systems, and transportation structures. Develop transport plans for urban and rural development projects. Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, government agencies, and stakeholders. Prepare engineering reports, technical drawings, cost estimates, and tender documents. Ensure compliance with transportation standards, codes, and environmental guidelines. Monitor project progress and provide technical support during construction. Recommend solutions to improve traffic flow, safety, and public transport efficiency. Utilize CAD software and traffic modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, VISSIM, SYNCHRO). Conduct site visits and inspections to assess ongoing works and compliance. Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, or related field. Licensed Civil Engineer (preferred or as required by local regulations). 2+ years of experience in transportation planning, highway design, or traffic engineering. Proficient in transport planning tools and CAD software. Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and project coordination abilities.
