- Design and Engineering:
- Develop comprehensive MEPF system designs, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
- Conduct load calculations, energy modeling, and system sizing.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Coordinate with architectural and structural engineers to ensure seamless integration of MEPF systems.
- Construction Oversight:
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEPF systems.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
- Quality Assurance and Control:
- Implement quality control procedures to verify compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure the quality of materials, workmanship, and system performance.
- Identify and resolve quality issues promptly and efficiently.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Prioritize safety on construction sites, enforcing safety protocols and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, fire codes, and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Cost Control:
- Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and review cost estimates and budget forecasts.
- Manage change orders and variations to the contract.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, technical documents, and project status reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
- Participate in project meetings and presentations.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in MEPF engineering, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, fire codes, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience in high-rise building construction and complex infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with Bureau Veritas' quality management systems and procedures is advantageous.
- A strong understanding of sustainable design principles and energy-efficient systems is desirable.
