This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Philippines office three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business (such as training, workshops, team engagement, etc).The RoleThe Analyst is responsible for operational execution, analysis, and continuous improvement of assigned finance/operations processes. The role delivers accurate, timely, and well‑controlled outputs that enable business decisions and a great customer experience, while consistently demonstrating GM’s performance culture and Behaviors.What You'll DoSpecific duties related to this position include, but are not limited to, the following:1. Operations and DeliveryExecute day‑to‑day core processes within the GBS Pricing scope (e.g., price maintenance, price calculation, price file preparation), ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and complete, and collaborate as needed with connected teams (e.g., order management, product costing, intercompany, general ledger) to enable end‑to‑end outcomes.Support daily, month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close for the assigned process area (e.g., cut‑off checks, validation of system runs, file preparation, and reporting packages), ensuring deliverables meet agreed SLAs and quality standards.Maintain and update master data and reference files (e.g., materials, prices, cost objects) following documented standards and controls.Perform data validations, variance reasonableness checks, and issue investigation over system‑generated results; coordinate with upstream / downstream owners to resolve discrepancies.Partner with key stakeholders in securing information relevant to Vehicle and Parts & Accessories Price calculations2. Analysis, Insight, and ReportingAnalyze trends, variances, and drivers (e.g., price, volume, cost, FX, margin) and translate data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.Understand local and business trends that impact financial operations, including peaks and valleys of country performance and cost indicatorsPrepare standard and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and commentary that are concise, factual, and decision‑oriented.Identify data quality issues and partner with upstream / downstream owners to address root causes.3. Controls, Compliance, and Risk ManagementEnsure strict adherence to GM policies, SOX/ICFR, US GAAP/IFRS, and local regulatory requirements.Maintain complete audit trails and documentation for key activities, approvals, and judgments.Proactively identify, escalate, and help resolve control gaps, process risks, and policy deviations, supporting remediation and prevention.Support internal and external audits, providing timely, accurate responses and evidence.4. Stakeholder and Customer PartnershipAct as a trusted operational partner to Business Units and internal customers (e.g., FP&A, Global Finance Teams, Supply Chain, GBS and Global Controllership, Order Management).Clarify requirements, challenge incomplete or inconsistent inputs, and align expectations on timelines and deliverables.Provide clear, professional status updates on progress, risks, and next steps, managing service levels in line with agreed SLAs.Collaborate effectively with global and cross‑functional teams, including other GBS hubs.5. Continuous Improvement and TransformationApply a continuous improvement mindset to simplify processes, reduce manual work, and prevent recurring issues.Suggest and help implement standardization, automation, and digitization (e.g., workflow tools, templates, KNIME, Power BI, AI tools).Participate in projects, UAT, and pilots related to new systems, tools, or process changes; provide practical feedback from an operational perspective.Share lessons learned and best practices to uplift team capability and performance.Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field required.Experience in shared services/GBS/multinational environment preferred.Demonstrated track record of delivering high‑quality work under tight timelines and contributing to process improvements.Solid understanding of core accounting / finance principles relevant to the role (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS, inventory / costing concepts, pricing mechanics, revenue and expense recognition).Working knowledge of SAP (and/or other core ERPs) and related GM systems for the assigned process; willingness to continuously learn new tools and transactions.Strong MS Excel skills (e.g., lookups, pivots, basic modeling); familiarity with automation / analytics tools (e.g., KNIME, Power BI, SQL‑based tools) is an advantage.Ability to read and apply GM policies, SOPs, work instructions, and approval matrices, and to contribute to their improvement.Basic domain knowledge of operations finance related processes (Price Calculation and System Maintenance, Profit and Loss Analysis, Order Management and Materials Management for Customer Care and Aftersales)Knowledge of financial reporting implications of transactions within Supply Chain – sourcing, procurement and customer order deliveryWhat Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)​Above average English fluencyWork effectively with others and as part of a teamProblem SolvingContinuous Improvement mindset and able to translate it to meaningful projectsSolves and Analyzes Issues, Stretched GoalsDrive for Individual ResultsAbility to work cross-functionallyVerbally communicates clearly and concisely a need, request, idea or thought to drive action of peersWith help, can tailor communication to address concerns or open conversations in a way that the external partner understands and protects the reputation and confidentiality needs of GMAbout GMOur vision is a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion and we embrace the responsibility to lead the change that will make our world better, safer and more equitable for all.Why Join UsWe believe we all must make a choice every day – individually and collectively – to drive meaningful change through our words, our deeds and our culture.
