Start Date: ASAP About Us Great Expectations SPC and its property management arm, Arboreal Management, develop and manage affordable housing throughout the Pacific Northwest. We handle all unlawful detainer (eviction) work in-house-supported by our offshore legal and operations team in the Philippines and overseen by a U.S.-licensed (WA-barred) attorney based in Manila. We've built our own internal legal case management system, integrated with our broader property management platform, to manage notices, filings, and court workflows at scale. We're now hiring a detail-oriented and assertive paralegal to take ownership of our eviction case preparation and filings from end to end. Key Responsibilities You'll support the company's Washington State eviction docket, working alongside our U.S. attorney, operations team, and property staff. You will: Prepare legal documents including: Notices (10-day comply/vacate, 3-day nuisance, 20-day no-cause, etc.) Summons & Complaints Declarations and exhibits Motions for default, writs of restitution, stipulations Manage legal timelines and workflows using our in-house case management system Coordinate process service with third-party providers File cases electronically (or by mail, where required) with courts across WA Prepare and track hearing schedules, filings, service affidavits Collaborate with our WA-barred attorney for supervision and sign-off Maintain accurate records of all legal actions per property and tenant Track expenses and legal billings for all cases Continuously improve templates and SOPs for consistency and efficiency Requirements Must-Have Qualifications Legal or paralegal education (JD or LLB degree preferred) At least 2 years of experience in litigation support, paralegal work, or eviction processing Excellent written English (legal writing and email communication) Demonstrated ability to draft pleadings and assemble court-ready documents Strong familiarity with U.S. legal systems or forms , especially landlord-tenant law Tech-savvy and comfortable learning internal software tools Detail-oriented and organized under tight deadlines ???? Nice-to-Have Experience in property management, housing, or real estate law Familiarity with U.S. e-filing systems (Odyssey, WA Courts portal, etc.) Experience working in a remote BPO legal team SYSTEMS YOU'LL USE Evictionary - our in-house legal/workflow system Microsoft SharePoint and Teams Case tracking dashboards U.S. e-filing portals and PDF tools Training will be provided-but we expect a fast learner who can own the process once oriented.
