- Work directly with the organization’s servers and networks, performing setup, enhancement, and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure that employees’ workstations or company-issued devices can successfully connect to networks and access business-critical data at all times
- Configure network security settings and connect peripheral devices, like printers and scanners, that are used by multiple users.
- Build an organization’s database architecture so that data is correctly stored and easily accessible. This can involve setting up data storage and retrieval protocols, adjusting permissions, and maintaining data security and integrity during migrations, backups, and day-to-day use.
- Use their expertise in database programs and languages to support company-wide database access.
- Demonstrate expertise in remote user networking, including VPN setup, remote access protocols, and network troubleshooting.
- Provide direct support to users across the organization. That includes helping set up hardware or software, diagnosing connectivity or data access problems, answering questions about hardware or software, and helping users access shared drives and devices.
- Maintain information security throughout the organization.
- Monitor access logs and build database security procedures.
- Set up antivirus programs at workstations, develop policies for email security, and perform periodic data audits and backups to prevent information loss and unauthorized access.
- Support the IT department and the company by troubleshooting systems and hardware, or an organization-wide update.
- Identify issues with new hardware or software and work with users or on the back end of servers to quickly resolve those issues and prevent delays.
- Prepare reports on hardware and software issues.
- Implement and enhance security policies tailored to remote work environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential security risks, staying abreast of emerging threats and best practices in remote cybersecurity.
- Ensure the security of remote connections and devices, implementing measures to safeguard against potential cyber threats.
- Communicate with clients to troubleshoot issues related to client tools, providing timely and efficient resolutions to technical problems.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and addressing any technical concerns.
- Installing new software and hardware components.
- Regularly evaluating our IT systems to ensure they meet the necessary demands.
- Assisting with network administration tasks.
- Ensuring data storage is safe and secure.
- Resolving all issues coworkers have with their IT systems and software.
- Educating coworkers about network security and best practices for computer usage.
- Supporting the day-to-day operations of our computer network.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Proven experience in a BPO environment, with a focus on supporting remote teams
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in several programming languages is a plus
- Expert level in Microsoft Office Applications, including Project Management tools such as ClickUp
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in specific systems or programming is a plus
- Experience working with the following environments: Mac OS, Windows 10 & Windows Server 2008+ operating systems, Active Directory, Office 365, Network Storage, etc.
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting various technical equipment such as laptops, video conferencing systems, mobiles, etc.
- Entry-level or Fresh Graduate candidates should have gained previous experience from internships and practical learning opportunities while completing their undergraduate studies. Other candidates should have one or a few years of professional experience.
