We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Quantity Surveyor / Takeoff Assistant to join our team. This full-time role is ideal for a Civil Engineer with strong experience in quantity surveying, takeoffs, and estimating for site development projects. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in earthwork, grading, underground utilities, and demolition projects, and will be proficient in industry-standard software tools. This is a fast-paced environment where the ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and deliver accurate estimates is essential.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for civil construction projects using Trimble Business Center or similar 3D takeoff software
- Review and interpret construction drawings and plans
- Collaborate with the Draftsman and other team members for seamless coordination
- Provide timely and accurate support for bid proposals and project planning
- Support project tracking and documentation as needed
- Civil Engineering, Geodetic Engineering, or any similar background required
- Experience in quantity surveying and takeoffs – required
- Expertise in earthwork, grading, paving, underground utilities, demolition, and clearing projects
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Prior experience with general contractors preferred but not required
- Proficiency with Trimble Business Center or similar 3D takeoff software – required
- Experience with Agtek or similar tools – preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
- Comfortable working with construction models and digital plan set
