Duties And Responsibilities We are seeking a results-driven and strategic SEO Specialist to strengthen our digital presence and grow our local visibility. This is a part-time role ideal for someone who understands the senior care landscape and has experience optimizing for local search in a healthcare or service-oriented environment. Your primary goal will be to ensure that when families search for assisted living or memory care in our area, our facility is highly visible, trustworthy, and easy to find. Local SEO (High Priority) Optimize and maintain our Google Business Profile with accurate information, updated photos, service highlights, and timely responses to reviews. Ensure NAP consistency (Name, Address, Phone) across major directories (e.g., Yelp, Caring.com, APlaceForMom, SeniorAdvisor). Target high-intent local keywords to capture prospective residents and their families. Improve rankings in the Google Map Pack for relevant local searches. Website Optimization Build or refine service-specific pages (Assisted Living, Memory Care, Respite Care). Strengthen calls to action (tour bookings, contact forms, info requests). Ensure the website is mobile-responsive, fast-loading, and user-friendly. Content Strategy & Creation Develop blogs, FAQs, and guides addressing key concerns of families considering senior care. Write engaging, informative, and SEO-friendly content. On-Page SEO Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, headers, and images. Improve internal linking between key service and location-based pages. Review Strategy Develop a process to encourage families to leave reviews on Google and industry-specific platforms. Monitor, respond to, and leverage reviews to enhance credibility and engagement. Backlink Building Identify and acquire backlinks from trusted sources such as local directories, senior-focused blogs, caregiver networks, and local business associations. Tracking & Reporting Set up and maintain Google Analytics and Search Console for SEO performance tracking. Conduct competitor SEO audits and monitor ranking performance. Implement schema markup to enhance search result presentation. Minimum Requirements Language requirement: Excellent English Communication Skills Education: Bachelor&aposs Degree (ideally) Experience: 3+ years of related experience 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably in local SEO or healthcare/senior living industries. Strong knowledge of Google Business, Maps algorithms, and local ranking factors. Excellent writing and editing skills for blog and on-page content. Familiarity with WordPress or similar CMS platforms. Self-starter with strong project management and communication skills. Michigan-based or familiar with Michigan's senior care landscape is a plus. Experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Yoast SEO, or Google Tag Manager is preferred. Performance Expectations (KPIs) Increase Google Map Pack rankings for targeted services within 3-6 months. Achieve measurable improvements in local keyword rankings.
