The Warehouse & Logistics Support Engineer will be responsible for the technical design, construction, and operational setup of warehouse facilities to support FMCG supply chain requirements. This includes detailed capacity modeling, pallet position analysis (storage capacity measured by the number of pallets that can be accommodated), forklift movement optimization, line rate planning, and the integration of SAP systems for warehouse monitoring. The role requires strong engineering expertise in warehouse design and logistics execution, with hands-on experience in building and commissioning warehouse infrastructure within FMCG environments.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform warehouse capacity analysis, including pallet positions (storage slots for pallets), throughput calculations, raw material requirements, forklift movement mapping, and storage utilization.
- Lead the technical design and construction of warehouses, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, safety codes, and FMCG operational requirements.
- Develop and implement end-to-end warehouse processes, including receiving, storage, handling, and dispatch workflows.
- Design layouts and systems to maximize space utilization, materials flow efficiency, and operational safety.
- Configure and optimize SAP Warehouse Management modules to monitor storage, material movements, and capacity usage.
- Conduct simulations and technical studies to validate warehouse designs and ensure alignment with production and logistics demands.
- Provide engineering support during commissioning and ramp-up of warehouse operations.
- Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse efficiency and logistics flow.
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 57 years of experience in warehouse engineering, logistics design, and operations within FMCG environments.
- Proven track record in warehouse design, construction, and process commissioning.
- Strong technical skills in capacity planning, layout design, and material flow analysis.
- Proficiency in SAP (Warehouse Management/Inventory modules).
- In-depth knowledge of safety standards, materials handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyors), and warehouse automation technologies.
- Excellent analytical, project management, and technical documentation skills.
