Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field Certification by ARDMS or equivalent State licensure if required Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience with various ultrasound modalities (e.g., OB/GYN, vascular, cardiac) Basic computer and data entry skills Commitment to patient care and confidentiality Responsibilities Operate ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic images Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process Ensure image quality and proper documentation Collaborate with physicians to interpret ultrasound results Maintain and calibrate ultrasound machines Follow safety and infection control protocols Assist in training new technologists or students Maintain accurate patient records and imaging logs Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients
