F&A also implements and monitors effective financial controls.The role of the Sr. Financial Accountant is to support Canon Finance Australia (CFA) GL, Intercompany journals and reconciliation review, and assist in month-end closing activities by reviewing the quality output of the team members and help the Process Lead and Operations Supervisor in consolidation. Help provide feedback to juniors in the team and provide coaching/feedback if opportunity arisesFinancial / CommercialBe involved in assisting with audit & compliance requirements including Sarbanes Oxley.CustomerEnsure all transaction out of GL and intercompany under Canon Finance AustraliaEnsure all queries are handled promptly and professionallyProcessEnsure all reconciliations are completed in accordance with monthly timetableIdentify any issues on reconciliations as they arise. Escalate any material issues to managementLiaise with relevant F&A staff and other Canon staff to clear outstanding items on reconciliations.Review and document own work processes and procedures and suggest improvements for sameParticipate in any projects where requiredEnsure all journals are completed in accordance with monthly reporting timetablesEnsure all reconciliations are completed in accordance with monthly timetablesIdentify any issues on reconciliations as they arise.
