Key Duties And Responsibilities Job Allocation and Workshop Control Allocate repair orders (ROs) to qualified technicians based on skill level, experience, and workload. Ensure balanced job distribution to maximize productivity and minimize idle time. Monitor ongoing repair progress and update job status in the Dealer Management System (DMS). Track vehicle flow within the workshop - from reception to quality check and release. Ensure all job cards are properly filled out and signed off before closing. Productivity and Efficiency Monitoring Maintain workshop productivity and efficiency targets as set by the Service Manager. Analyze daily technician performance reports (efficiency, utilization, and proficiency). Implement corrective actions for performance deviations or bottlenecks. Support in preparing workshop performance reports and recommend process improvements. Coordination and Communication Liaise with Service Advisors to confirm repair scope, job priorities, and estimated completion times. Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure timely availability of required parts. Communicate effectively with technicians on repair instructions, technical updates, and rework details. Provide timely updates to the Service Manager on workshop capacity, delays, or quality concerns. Quality and Safety Assurance Ensure all repairs are performed according to Nissan Service Standards and technical bulletins. Conduct random checks and final quality inspections on completed jobs before delivery. Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and adherence to safety procedures. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the workshop area. Administration and Documentation Oversee proper documentation of repair orders, time logs, and job completions. Verify accuracy of job costing and labor operations before submission for billing. Maintain records of rework, comeback jobs, and warranty-related repairs for analysis. Assist the Service Manager in workshop audits and compliance reviews. Team Support and Development Assist in mentoring and technical guidance of new or junior technicians. Support in technical skill assessments and recommend training needs. Foster teamwork, discipline, and adherence to dealership policies among workshop staff. Qualifications And Requirements Graduate of Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical course. At least 3-5 years of experience in automotive service operations, with 1-2 years in job control or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes, diagnostics, and workshop systems. Familiar with Nissan service procedures and DMS platforms (e.g., Autoline,SAP, or similar).
