We specialise in cloud consultancy, managed services, cloud governance, FinOps, and AI/ML to help organisations unlock the full potential of AWS.Recognised as AWS's Rising Star Partner of the Year for 2023 in EMEA and 2022 in the UK&I, we're expanding globally with new offices in Australia, South Africa, Singapore and Dubai, a strong presence in the Philippines, and our HQ in the UK.We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Cloud Data & BI Architect to lead the implementation of a cloud-based data ingestion, transformation, analytics, and business intelligence reporting platform for our Finance team.This project will build a scalable, secure, and automated data ecosystem leveraging services such as AWS Lake Formation, AWS Glue, Amazon S3, Amazon Athena, and Amazon QuickSight (also known as Quick Suite), with infrastructure managed via Terraform.The successful contractor will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing a modern financial data platform that enables accurate reporting, analytics, and strategic insights.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement a secure, scalable AWS-based data lake and analytics architectureDevelop automated data ingestion pipelines from financial and operational systemsBuild ETL/ELT workflows using AWS Glue and related servicesConfigure and manage data governance and access controls using AWS Lake FormationOptimize storage and query performance in Amazon S3 and Amazon AthenaDevelop dashboards and financial BI reports in Amazon QuickSightApply infrastructure-as-code principles using TerraformEnsure data quality, integrity, and consistency across financial datasetsTranslate finance team requirements into technical data models and reporting solutionsCollaborate with finance stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting structuresImplement best practices for security, cost optimization, and performance tuningTechnical ExpertiseStrong hands-on experience with:Terraform (infrastructure as code)AWS Lake FormationAWS Glue (ETL development)Amazon S3 (data lake design and management)Amazon Athena (query optimization and performance tuning)Amazon QuickSight (dashboarding, dataset modelling, row-level security)Experience designing and implementing data lakes and analytics architectures in AWSSolid DBA skills (data modelling, indexing, query optimization, schema design)Strong SQL expertiseExperience with data transformation, validation, and pipeline orchestrationBackground in data analysis and statistical analysis.Business Intelligence & AnalysisAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modelling, pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas)Experience with BI reporting tools (e.g., QuickSight and other enterprise BI platforms)Ability to design executive-level dashboards and operational reportsStrong understanding of KPIs, metrics, and performance measurement frameworks--
