I. Project Planning
- Develops comprehensive project plans, including objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets
- Ensures the project adheres to industry best practices and contributes to the improvement of internal processes, by defining the standards and measures of success
- Develops tools for project design, execution, and management
- Identifies and manages project risks and issues, ensuring appropriate action is taken to mitigate or resolve them
- Establishes the project governance with the client
- Conducts regular cadence sessions to evaluate project status, deliverables and outputs, ensuring quality control is followed throughout the project’s lifecycle
- Conducts evaluation and debriefing sessions to surface lessons learned, to assess project outcomes and provide recommendations for future projects
- Manages and oversees all aspects of projects to ensure that they are completed on time, within scope and budget, and that all project deliverables are of high quality and meet client’s expectations
- Provides direction and support to project teams, ensuring clarity of objectives and responsibilities
- Monitors and tracks project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals and project objectives
- Delivers project status reports, proposals, documentation, and presentations to various audiences, including project sponsors and champions, key stakeholders and partners
- Regularly reports status to the Steering Committee for project direction and decision points
- Facilitates communication and collaboration among the project team and with pertinent stakeholders
- ▪ Builds and maintains relationships with clients, stakeholders, partners, steering committee, and team members
- Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Acquires necessary resources and pools in the team members for the project
- Coordinates the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan
- Manages changes to project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques and ensures minimal to no risk and impact to quality and final timeline
- Regularly conducts project risk assessment and recommends measures for prevention and mitigation
- Coordinates scheduling and completion of Go-Live activities such as technical testing, smoke testing, training and sign-offs for seamless transition in collaboration with the project team, DITS teams, SMEs and end-users
- Conducts evaluation and debriefing sessions to surface lessons learned to assess project outcomes and provides recommendations for future projects
- Collates all documentations made throughout the project and prepares a consolidated file for ease of access and reference
authorized representatives.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Project Management: Delivering agreed outcomes from projects using appropriate management techniques, collaboration, leadership and governance; Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work streams effectively; Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools; Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or Lean. Experience with Agile/Scrum, a plus
- Waterfall, Lean, or Agile Methodology: Knowledgeable in either the traditional software development life cycle tasks or use of the iterative software development cycle that relies on feedback, and continual user involvement.
- Technological Savvy: Ability to utilize information technology and computer and internet systems to accomplish tasks; Comfortable with exploring new technologies; Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, Jira, Trello, or similar project management tools.
- IT Service Management and Practices: Knowledge in IT Service Management and related IT practices
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate tactfully and sensitively with all types of personalities and predispositions, utilizing different media directed at different audiences/stakeholders.
- Interpersonal Skills: Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
- Problem Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues quickly and effectively, analyze possible solutions, and recommend the best course of action for an issue.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to interpret policies and procedures to make informed decisions.
- Team Communication and Coordination: Ability to proactively coordinate, mediate, and manage actions in relation to IT Teams
- Self-Motivation: Possesses a strong drive for excellence and improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, Management, or equivalent
- Master’s degree or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, an advantage Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 4 Certification, an advantage
- Background in Education, Finance, Accounting, Purchasing and/or HR, an advantage
- At least 5 years of work experience in project management, including experience in leading and managing complex projects
- At least 5 years of work experience in a management and/or supervisory role
