Job Description Position Overview The purpose of the Financial Accountant role is to support the organization and its subsidiaries with methodical and robust accounting practices. The role ensures timely financial reporting, compliance with statutory obligations, and sound governance of the balance sheet (consolidated and by entity). Whilst requiring a high degree of technical knowledge, the Financial Accountant must also work closely with operational and FP&A stakeholders. Simplifying accounting language and requirements will be integral to success in this role. Key Accountabilities Financial Accounting Support key end-of-month (EOM) processes including accruals, prepayments, reallocations, recharging, and amortisation. Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including inventory, fixed assets, and rebate claim records. Process revenue recognition for certain entities. Assist with accounting standard applications. Coordinate Taxable Payment Annual Report (TPAR) and Payment Time Reporting (PTR) . Maintain the Fixed Asset Register (FAR). Facilitate Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) processes. Administer HR/payroll recharging. Support and mentor the Assistant Accountant. Participate in internal and external audit processes. Drive business improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability within the financial accounting discipline. Other Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required, which may be amended at management's discretion. Compliance Ensure all duties comply with business policies, processes, and regulatory requirements. Curiosity to learn AI and automation tools for streamlining tasks. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 3 years' experience in financial accounting roles. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA / CA qualification (part-qualified candidates with strong experience may also be considered). Experience in multi-entity organisations (preferred but not required). Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office tools. Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting software (preferred). Commitment to ongoing professional development. Other Requirements Background check, including identification and police records, will be required. Valid working rights in the Philippines. Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays if needed. Working Conditions Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (AEST). Flexibility to adjust hours if required by business needs.
