The Baker is responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting high-quality bread, pastries, and other baked products. The role ensures efficiency, consistency, and compliance with food safety standards while maintaining cleanliness and proper inventory. Flexibility in scheduling is required, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays. Duties And Responsibilities Production & Baking Measure, mix, and prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and glazes according to recipes and timelines. Bake bread, pastries, cakes, and other items in line with quality and presentation standards. Monitor baking processes and adjust ovens or equipment as needed. Store ingredients and finished goods properly to maintain freshness. Quality & Food Safety Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized kitchen and baking area. Follow all food safety, handling, and hygiene protocols. Inspect ingredients and finished products for quality and consistency. Inventory & Equipment Assist in ordering, receiving, and monitoring baking ingredients and supplies. Clean, maintain, and store baking equipment and tools properly. Report equipment issues, low stock, or operational concerns. Collaboration & Customer Support Coordinate with store staff to ensure baked goods are available for display and sale. Assist with special orders and support new product development as needed. Requirements At least a High School graduate (Culinary or Baking Certificate is an advantage). Previous experience as a baker or in a similar role is a plus. Knowledge of baking methods, ingredients, and equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
