Job Purpose The Revenue Cycle Content Specialist will work closely with both internal staff at Med-Metrix (MMX) and external customers to assess, document, design and deploy implementation processes across revenue cycle services. Strong candidates will be able to support the Project Manager and operations team in creating standard operating procedures and playbooks to support new client implementations and documentation of existing internal processes. Candidates should be able to assist in lead client discovery sessions, influence cross-functional teams and should hold a thorough understanding of revenue cycle processes across patient access, coding, HIM, billing, follow-up, denials, cash posting and customer service in a Hospital or Professional Revenue Cycle environment. Duties and Responsibilities Participate in client assessment meetings to discover existing revenue cycle processes and collaborate with operational leaders to develop detailed process documentation that outlines specific process steps to execute a revenue cycle function. Support new client implementations by developing Policy and Procedure documentation as well as standard operating procedures to develop implementation playbook for hand-off to operations at go-live. Develops and utilizes standard templates to capture appropriate process documentation accurately and concisely. Provide support to internal operations on strategic initiatives in documenting process optimizations. Works with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements. Escalate and communicate priorities, successes, and project risks to Project Management, Leadership and client counterparts. Use, protect and disclose patients' protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards. Limit viewing of PHI to the absolute minimum as necessary to perform assigned duties. Report any security or HIPAA violations or concerns to the HIPAA Officers in a timely fashion. Qualifications 2+ years Operational or Implementation Experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Experience with Patient Accounting and/or Patient Access provider settings. Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills: Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations to resolve. Strong business writing skills with a demonstrated ability to drill down to the key points in a complex problem and clearly articulate the next steps. Outstanding listening, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities, combined with the professionalism and emotional intelligence necessary to effectively engage clients across all levels. Foster Teamwork: Work cooperatively and effectively with others, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness. Excellent organizational and quantitative skills: Set priorities, monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information, and activities. Make Decisions: Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization. Ability to work well individually and in a rapidly changing environment. High Proficiency with MS Office, particularly word. High Proficiency using Visio strongly preferred. Highly self-motivated and directed. Energetic with strong desire to learn. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Strong customer service orientation. Working Conditions Work Setup: Fulltime Permanent Onsite Work Schedule: Mondays - Fridays Night Shift (US Hours) Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overtime when needed Sit; perform manual tasks; operate tools and other office equipment such as a computer, computer peripherals and telephones; extend arms; kneel; talk and hear.
