Performs settlement and client servicing for Markets transactions, ensuring timely and accurate end-to-end processing and settlement in accordance with local regulations and Group policies. Ensures completion of regulatory reporting for the Bank.Principal Accountabilities:Impact on the Business / Function
- Contributes to the department’s overall efficiency and dynamic support to the evolving business.
- Supports timely and accurate end-to-end settlement of Markets transactions
- Provides operational support for product initiatives of Markets, including under BCP scenarios
- Evidences compliance of our transactions with regulations and completes regulatory reporting requirements including audit and assurance testing
- Upholds daily compliance with our client service level agreements – trade affirmations/confirmations, managing inquiries, securing trade and settlement documents
- Carrying out client calls and collaboration with Markets and Relationship Managers to support better client coverage and business opportunities
- Supports client education with respect to HSBC policies and local regulations relevant to the transactions
- Assists in ensuring smooth client coverage by coordinating with various units of the bank (WSB, HSS, GM, DBS)
- Supports various products being managed by Markets Operations
- Participates in team training and development, succession planning and business continuity readiness exercises and improvements
- Ensures that mandatory trainings, staff rules, regulations, and conduct standards are met at all times
- Embeds optimal usage of resources available for Markets Operations by raising initiatives on improvements in the day-to-day process
- Safeguards the bank against various franchise risks and apply escalation protocols to mitigate and address open risks
- Applies the balance of growth with compliance and acts as control owners in every layer of Operations’ work
- College/University degree holder with two to five years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of Markets products, processes, regulations, and systems.
- Project, efficiency, and risk control management acumen.
- Familiarity with regulations, both locally and globally.
- Working knowledge on key Markets Operations systems is a plus , but not required (such as but not limited to TREATS, HUB/SFE, GMG/SWIFT, SUMMIT HUB, River, TCM, local systems by PDS, NROSS, PhilPassPlus and BIR eDST).
